We wanted to make sure all of you CRA members are aware of an excellent annual conference coming up in October, and/or to remind you to register before the rates increase. The Sustaining Colorado Watersheds Conference is celebrating its tenth anniversary, and promises to be as exciting, informative, and fun as ever. This year’s conference theme is “In it for the Long Haul,” with a specific focus on “what is needed to help ensure long-term sustainability for river health, public education, and organizational management.”
The details:
Conference is October 6-8, 2015 in Avon, Colorado Conference website: http://www.coloradowater.org/Conferences
CRA members get $50 off the cost of registration
Rates increase on September 7
Scholarships are available; applications are due September 7
Conference is jointly hosted by CRA, the Colorado Foundation for Water Education (CFWE),
and the Colorado Watershed Assembly (CWA)
Although most of the CRA board and committee members have been attending this conference for years, last year was my first time at the event. In addition to being an incredible networking opportunity for water resource professionals in Colorado, it was packed with interesting talks, a fantastic keynote (this year’s keynote promises to be just as good), a great field workshop at Camp Hale, and plenty of fun socializing. Check out the agenda and highlights on the website link above, and we hope to see you there!
